Vijay Mallya has definitely laid everything on the line for Bangalore. In addition to the IPL team, he is laying out an expensive plan regarding air travel out of Bangalore. Few other industrialist have taken the kind of business risks he has taken. He seems to be modeling himself like Richard Branson, the Virgin Airlines owner, in this regard.
Added later: He has been slowing it down recently, thanks to the soaring fuel prices and the economy. But still treading a risky path, similar to his Bangalore IPL team.
